Advisory letter from kali Scott, the campaign manager

To Ms. Angela Comet,

With the beginning of this new partnership regarding the upcoming election there are many things that will need to be a priority in what we hope to do for America if we get elected. What I think we should prioritize is reforming our criminal justice system. There are multiple reasons as to why I think prioritizing this would help make America better and would make us get more support from a variety of people, but first I would like to bring what is wrong with the criminal justice system to light. We have one of the biggest incarceration rates in the whole world and many of those that are included in that rate are falsely incarcerated. This is partially due to bias in the courts for things like race, gender, sexuality, religion, and other socio-economic statuses. This bias causes thousands of people, if not more, to be wrongfully convicted and serving time that they don’t need to be serving. Another issue is also that people are being sentenced life sentences for low level crimes. “What sort of punishment does selling $100 worth of meth warrant? Stealing a wallet from a hotel room? In some cases, even crimes like these have resulted in sentences of life without parole. More than 200,000 people are now serving a life sentence or other extreme sentences” (Frankfurter, Michelle, and Jacquelyn Martin).  Being convicted is also an extremely life changing thing that can cause many ex-convicts to not get a job and not be a trusted person just due to the fact that they have gone to jail. Another issue with the system is that it’s more focused on providing a place for people to serve time and just continue on with life after they get out. This is not something that is helpful to society at all, if we made it so prisons and jails were focused on rehabilitating the convicts rather than just providing them a place to serve their time, there would be a higher chance of convicts becoming productive members of society and less likely to get reconvicted. Switzerland has the lowest crime rates nationwide and they use a system focused on rehabilitating convicts instead of punishing them. Also, many people that work in prisons and jails are corrupt which causes them to treat the convicts badly and could be a cause as to why there’s so much violence in prisons and jails. Another thing to note is that many convicts are mentally ill so if we provide better mental health resources and informed people of the signs so that we can get people the help they need to try to prevent mentally ill people from committing crimes it would make incarceration and crime rates drop as well. Another thing that should also be worked on is the health care that convicts get, many convicts are denied basic health care because prisons don’t prioritize the health of their inmates which causes unhappy and uncomfortable convicts that are more likely to take it out on other inmates or even guards. With a reformed justice system America would be safer and it could drop the incarceration and crime rates a lot while also making convicts productive members of society.

Advisory letter from Angela comet, the presidential candidate

AdVisory letter from Alecia Araktingi, The press secretary

To Ms. Angela Comet,

I wanted to write to you and tell you about a very important issue that has been occurring in our nation recently. The issue I am writing to you about is the minimum wage here in the United States. The minimum wage in the United States is set to be $7.25. The average rent for a one-bedroom apartment is $2000 depending on your location. Considering these numbers, including the price of utilities at around $300, the average person should be making this much money and more to provide food and other necessities for their families. Although, the average yearly salary for an American is $30,000. This would mean that the average American is making $2500 a month. This amount of money does not provide families with enough money to provide a stable amount of food and clothes for their families every month. This is the reason that I believe the average minimum wage in the country should be raised. I believe we should raise the minimum wage to $15 per month. This would raise taxes, but if people are to make more money, they will be able to pay these taxes and still have enough for their food and necessities. This also should not be an issue for the richer families of the United States. Raising the minimum wage will be saving millions of families that are currently living in poverty, I hope you will take my thoughts into consideration and add this issue to one of your top priorities.

Your Press Secretary,
Alecia Araktingi
To our Campaign: the Rudolph Party,

Starting off, I would like to explain how grateful I am for having the opportunity of running for president. It's been a dream of mine, since I was little. Finally being able to receive this platform, and a voice for the people of the United States, I will make sure to never let this party down, the team, and most importantly the people. I will do everything in my power to make the United States its best.
Policies are one main way we will carve the path. A main important policy for our campaign is the safety of the people. We have been missing community, love, and safety recently in the United States. My priority as President is to re-enforce the safety of the people. It should be required that if there is a danger to society, it should be property dealt with. This issue, gun control, is very controversial, and my team and I recognize the significance and importance of this matter. Which is why it will be one of the most important policies we will deal with. We will introduce a new policy, Strengthening Gun Control, in which it will make gun control restrictions more strict. Our goal is to reduce the amount of school shootings, mass shootings, and homicides. We value the lives of our citizens, and as a parent, I understand what it feels like to know that my child isn't completely safe at school. It breaks my heart seeing the Colorado Springs shooting, and more school shootings occurring every year. There should be more restrictions such as: Red-Flag Laws. These statutes, which have been upheld as constitutional repeatedly, allow anyone to ask a judge to temporarily seize firearms from those who are a threat to themselves or others. Our policy will also include a Buy-Back Program, which will reduce the amount of guns flowing through our economy. The Port Arthur Massacre of 1996 that marked a turning point for current gun laws in Australia, in which a young man killed 35 people and injured over two dozen more. The shooting rampage, which used a semi-automatic firearm, was the worst mass shooting in Australian history. Less than two weeks later, the conservative-led federal government worked with several states and territories that control weapons to enact immediate revisions to the nation's gun regulations. The United States lags considerably behind other countries in taking swift action after tragedies. As proven in Australia, gun violence will decrease if the number of weapons spread across the economy was to be controlled. The evidence unmistakably demonstrates that tighter gun control legislation is more successful at keeping mass shootings under control. If the number of firearms distributed across the US economy were to be reduced, the frequency of gun violence would fall. The Strengthening Gun Control Policy will also include reducing the amount of guns in communities. Studies have shown that with fewer guns in an area, fewer gun-related homicides are evident. The impacts of gun law strictness in states show how weaker gun laws relate to higher amounts of casualties.
"Mississippi has the weakest gun laws with a score of 3 out of 100 and has a rate of 28.6 gun deaths per 100,000 residents -- the highest of all states, the research shows. Massachusetts has adopted 37 of the 50 policies and has the second-lowest rate of gun deaths, while Missouri has only eight of the gun safety policies and the fourth-highest rate of gun deaths in the US. Louisiana and Wyoming are among the top five states with the highest gun deaths and the weakest gun safety laws." - (States with weaker gun laws have higher rates of firearm-related homicides and suicides, study finds. CNN.) With more gun control legislation has the lower rates of gun violence fatalities because of stricter gun law enforcement and security measures for where guns are stored, carried, and put. Keeping this in mind, it doesn't affect the Second Amendment, which is why it is a good solution. With the stricter ways to carry guns, comes who is carrying them. That is why background check laws are another well implemented solution to gun regulation in our policy. Background checks are an already popular method, but looking at more specific criteria, it relates to how it's the person who is buying the gun and causing gun violence, not the gun itself.
To lessen the levels of gun violence that have overtaken the nation, the laws that we, the US government will impose on individuals will be stricter and more controlled. It seems evident that the remedy to violence is to enforce stronger regulations because it has been shown to work in other nations. But as evidence suggests, the decision to acquire a gun comes down to how it makes one feel. We respect the culture, values, and ideas our citizens have. Which is why our policy works with both urban and rural communities, making it the perfect form to bring everyone together and make the United States safer.

Advisory letter from Caden Comet, Event coordinator

To Ms. Angela Comet
I am writing this letter to you today to inform you of the importance of nuclear energy and nuclear proliferation. Nuclear energy has been called a bad source of power due to the few accidents that have happened involving them. However just because of these incidents that have happened does not mean that we should throw nuclear energy out the window. The advantages of nuclear energy are, but not limited to “One of the most low-carbon energy sources… answer to the energy gap. It’s essential to our response to climate change, and it’s reliable and cost-effective” (edf energy.) These points alone make nuclear energy a great superior to any other form of energy production. Meaning it is critical that nuclear energy is continued to be worked on. Nuclear energy is our main solution to the energy crisis. What should be done? I believe that America should slowly start making its way to making nuclear energy one of the main sources of energy. This would mean building more nuclear power plants and beginning new research to further their improvement.
Nuclear energy in the long run is one of the best investments that can be made. The two main cons that can come with nuclear energy are the initial cost and the risk of an accident. The initial cost is more than made up for in the long run as maintaining and using a nuclear power plant is not expensive compared to other energy sources, and more safety measures can be put in place to prevent accidents from happening. Nuclear energy should be on the top priority.

Caden Whitehead

Advisory letter from kate fletcher, the vice president

To Ms. Angela Comet
I would like to bring to your attention to very relevant and closely tied issues, the COVID-19 vaccine and the vaccine mandates that followed. To lead off I would like to clear up many of the misconceptions and lies surrounding the COVID-19 vaccine. Nowhere near enough testing was done for this vaccine that was ultimately unnecessary. COVID-19, like all viruses, is generally only fatal to people whose immune systems are compromised whether due to age or other factors. Many of those who died during the height of the pandemic did so due to inadequate medical care, such as lifesaving medicines and treatments, being withheld as a result of greed amongst pharmaceutical companies. One of these treatments, a drug called Ivermectin, was discouraged and in most cases outright denied, even though it could save lives and has less side effects than Tylenol. The vaccine itself was created with new technologies that were not meant for this purpose. To make matters worse, minimal testing was done before it was forced upon the public with extreme vigor. The contents and side effects of the COVID-19 vaccine were also withheld from the public putting many people at risk. All these factors make the COVID-19 vaccine unsafe for public use.
Secondly there is the matter of the mandates themselves, For the very first time in the history of the United States, an emergency use authorization was put into place for a vaccine. Smallpox, Polio, Measles, and Rubella were all once diseases and viruses that plagued the United States. Over time each one was systematically eradicated, no threats, no mandates, and no emergency use authorizations. Every single one of those vaccines went through rigorous testing before being permitted for public use, and when a vaccine was found to do more harm than good it would be recalled. History has laid out a clear method for the creation and distribution of vaccines. Science may grow but it will never change, we will always need to test what we create, nothing ever works right the first time. Distribution need not be a threat either, so long as your science is sound, and you don not hide things from the public, enough vaccines will be administered to eradicate the disease.
I urge you to consider these matters carefully as they involve the lives of many.
